The
85m long bridge crosses a 30m wide nullah and supports a
single-line railway track with a walkway on one side.
The abutments are spill-through.
The superstructure is a continuous reinforced concrete
flat beam with 10m spans.
The reinforced concrete piers are 18m high with a
monolithic joint with the deck.
The superstructure was cast on specially fabricated steel
trusses which were moved as the construction progressed.
Monolithic construction ensures a slender and
maintenance-free construction. |
